McConnell Senate Committee campaign manager Kevin Golden released the following statement on McGrath’s decision to echo the far-left’s talking points regarding the death of the world’s most active state sponsor of terrorism’s architect and chief engineer:
“Amy McGrath’s decision to characterize American action against the architect of hundreds of murders of our brave men and women in uniform as an ‘assassination’ is truly astonishing. The fact that McGrath condemned President Trump’s actions without so much as mentioning the terror Qassem Soleimani and Iran have wrought upon Americans and our allies, including the recent storming of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, is beyond contemptible. As with the embarrassing flip-flops behind her support for impeachment and opposition to Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, McGrath’s decision to join the socialist members of the squad on the operation that led to the death of Iran’s master terrorist provides yet another troubling testament to how far left she is willing to go to survive an ever-growing Democrat primary.”
