Extreme Amy McGrath is standing firmly in support of a $3 trillion spending spree being pushed forward by Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and other DC Democrats. At a time when Kentuckians need real relief from the coronavirus pandemic, radical liberal Democrats see an opportunity to “fundamentally transform the country.”
This liberal wish list is anything but a serious rescue package to help Americans impacted by the coronavirus. Tucked away in its 1,800 pages is a provision that would use coronavirus rescue funds to give direct payments to illegal immigrants and another provision that would send tax giveaways to McGrath’s millionaire donors in New York and California. And instead of supporting U.S. economic growth, this Democratic wish list proposes a tax hike on Main Street businesses.
But under Senator Mitch McConnell’s leadership, the Senate is fighting the coronavirus head on by passing the CARES Act, the biggest economic rescue package in U.S. history. McGrath criticized the CARES Act, which has brought more than $11 billion to Kentucky, and instead endorses a $3 trillion far-left liberal wish list that uses the word “cannabis” more often than the word “jobs.”
Americans need targeted rescue, not a radical wish list. Amy McGrath would rather send taxpayer dollars to illegal immigrants.
